Event of the month is.....

Not my birthday...

Not parent's anniversary...

Not Brinda's party...

It falls on the 28th March 2009, 8.30 pm...

Did it ring any bell?

It's my engagement party!!!!

Its EARTH HOUR 2009!!!

How I get to know bout this event you ask?

My dad came back from his lunch with his fellow acquaintance, he excitedly tells me about this event. 

And later that week, I saw the advert on TV.

For the pass week, my blog keep having the ad of this event.

Last few days, I received an email from Nuffnang about this event.

The ad of this event is just EVERYWHERE!!!

Me being the enthusiasm kind of person, of course got so excited towards this day!! 

I even started to google it and keep checking out its official web page every now and than.

One fine evening, my mom got influence by dad and I, she too looking forward to this day. And we had this really funny conversation, 

Mom: The Earth Hour thing is just for an hour?

Nic: Yes.

Mom: Whole KL participating as well?

Nic: That's according to dad.

Mom: What bout those hotels? How are they going to run their business?

Nic: Candle lar!! An hour only mar.

Mom: Than we all have to stay in the house and lock all the doors and windows.

Nic: Why?

Mom: Or else robbery can happen easily.

Nic:....

Mom: We, too, have to on the air-cond before 8.30pm and chill the whole house first. 

Nic: Huh??!! 

Mom: Yalah, or not very hot ar...

Nic: MOM!!! Not that we're going to switch off the main power cable. We're just switching off the light. We can still have air-cond and TV and laptop.

Mom: (think for a minute or two)... Yahor.. Not like no electric right..

Gosh, I tell you this does not only occur to mom. And it runs in the family.

Friend: Do you know about earth hour?

LM: Yes.

Friend: You switching off?

LM: Of course I'll join the fun!!!..... But hor.... I can't live without my laptop and internet la...

Friend: Stupid ar you!! Switch off your light only mar. Who ask you to off your computer as well?

Arh... How adorable my family members are... Love them...

Anyway, back to Earth Hour. Go visit their official web site and sign up to become a part of earth hour. Further, what you all can do is, switch off all the light on 28th as well. Together lets make this 28th a historical moment for fellow earth resident.
