The flat is so tiny that even my room is bigger than the whole house. Can you believe it?
Anyway, I'm not trying to look down on him. He's actually not living in poverty. In fact, his parents have a few property and a bigger house (not flat nor apartment) at Puchong. Instead of moving to that house, they rented it out with a price that are cheaper than paying of the house loan. I ask him why don't they move to the bigger house, and he's reply is so ridicules. Anyway, he's living with his parents and a sister who are in the process of blooming into a young lady. As a girl myself, I know that we girls some times need our own space. Moreover, even if you're my biological brother, I wouldn't wish to share a bed with a guy who is not my husband or boy friend. Not even with my dad please!!!
The worst part is that his mother some times help his auntie to baby-sit his cousin, which is so often they over night at their place. Can you believe it? Sharing a cupboard with a guy!!! Imagine, when I open up the cupboard, I'll see my brother's underwear and may be some condoms or some guys stuff. Or may be pirated porn DVDs or playboy magazines. And when my brother open up my cupboard and meet face to face with bra's and sexy lingerie. And sanitary pads!!!
When sleeping at night, girls are advisable not to wear bra to bed, so imagine, you took off your bra and you show half of your breast through your old faded t-shirt or may be your sexy nighty. And your brother will be just sleeping next to you with his half naked body, as I know, guys normally sleep without shirt on. CAN YOU IMAGINE IT???!!! EWWWW.....!!!
Argh, I feel like puking now already. Thanks god I have my own room and I'm having SISTERS. NOT BROTHER.
You guys might be saying I'm a spoilt brat. I shouldn't commented on people's house just because they are staying in a small flat. But the thing is, he has a BIGGER HOUSE some where else!!! Not too far away from his current house okay!!! Further, I used to stay in a single story terrace house only okay. I'm not those rich spoilt brat. I know how hard daddy work to get us here today and I appreciate what I have now.
Although we're poor (WE HAVE NO OTHERS PROPERTY NOR A BIGGER HOUSE!!) back then, we do not share our cupboard even if we're all girls. We have our own privacy. We have a lockable drawer by ourselves, so that we can keep our dirty little secret. And the best part is, we can even go naked while sleeping, which is something we DID NOT try before. Maximum is just wearing a really short short to bed. Don't think too much by my sentence.
I have really great experience and memory of living in poverty. I learn from there and I grow from there. After moving out of that old house, we'll pass by there once a while for the good old memories. Because of this, I'm slightly more mature than people around my age. At least that's what I think so.
So, don't give up your life if you are living in the poverty or any problem. There's a bright side of everything. Learn and grow from things that you go through. Every obstacles is your stepping stones.
Have a nice day~~~
Love,
Nichole @ Lai Yin
