Climb a mountain and swim a sea.....

I found a new love. Yes, mountain climbing. Nope, I'm not as good as kennysia as he climbed our very own tallest mountain, Mount Kinabalu. I climbed the Gasing Hill. Not the one that love birds always goes to but the one that behind all the super huge bungalow. This mountain is not as big as the Mount Kinabalu, you don't need days to accomplish the mountain. According to 1 of daddy's friend, Uncle Tan who is so experienced that he climbed this mountain for so many years, he claim that he and his buddy can finish the whole 4 hill in 45 minuets time. And he also claims that he and his buddy run up the hill and down as well. He's sweat is like a pipe...!! No kidding. He and his buddy's sweat drip from their arms like those pipes!!

On the 1^st day, which is Friday, we reached the entrance by 6.45am and we start walking into the jungle by 7am sharp. About 10 minuets later, Lai Ming don't seem okay. Her face is WHITE!!! And mommy claim that mommy herself difficult in breathing so can you imagine how bad is Lai Ming? Her asthma attacked...!! Anyway, we can't anything because once you started, it is very difficult to go back because you have finish the whole mountain, at least 2 hill. There's an exit before the 3^rd hill behind those bungalow. Lai Ming could not make it anymore, so we have to exit by the 1^st exit, than walk all the way back to the car by the tar road. Yes, this is a good beginning for a beginner like me. It is so tiring, I went back and slump into my bed and napped. I know I shouldn't do that but it is really very tiring. About minutes later, I had my shower and went McD breakfast with Lai Ming. Lai Ming feels better after she came out from the jungle. And daddy cooked a very big pot of curry on the same day and he's inviting his friend over. He told them about the mountain climbing and they wanted to join us!!

The next day, Saturday, Lai Ming did not join us because she insists to have a long night sleep. So, daddy, mommy, me, Uncle Lai and his wife, Uncle Wong and his wife and Aunty Yap went to Gasing Hill again. This is my 2^nd attempt, so I told daddy that I wanted to finish the whole 4 hill. And daddy does agree with me. Okay, I may sound a bit over prepared, I brought my mp3 which is a must, I ate power bar before I start, I have my perfect mountain climbing shoe, I wore my gym pants, my gym suit, and a red long-sleeves with a hood jacket, to prevent mosquito and so that daddy can spot me easily as daddy go so fast and mommy will always the slowest. So I have to catch up with daddy while make sure mommy is okay behind. Okay, this is really very adventurous. 1^st, we have to walk on a bridge which is made from cable, only one way and one person per time. This is really freaky. I'm scared of bridge. No matter what bridge. For the past half hour walking pass the 2 hill, I'm full of energy and I can actually run!! After the bridge which about few meter long only, me leg don't seems to walk anymore. My leg is trembling and shivering. I can't even walk properly. After resting and cooling down for a few minutes, I force myself to continue. I don't want to lost tract as I don't know the way. And mommy forces me to overcome my phobia. How am I going to overcome it??!! Heck...!! anyway, the way ahead is really fun. We have to use a rope to assist us in order to climb to the higher hill. Than down. And up again. This is really really fun. Trust me. And the air there is so fresh. There's all the friendly people around and ready to help you if anything happened. Not that they'll get pay by helping others, they're one of us that came to climb the mountain too. People there are seriously friendly. Every person that walk pass you, they'll greet you and smile to you. In the big city like KL, you won't expect unknown people greet and smile to you without any bad intension. But I found it here in Gasing Hill. You seriously can't get any fresher air and better people in the city where cars every where. And Gasing Hill is the place. About one and half hour later, we finish the whole mountain which consist 4 large hills. YAY!!! This is really very fun and adventurous. After that, we went breakfast and had more fun. My shirts are all sweat, no doubt, I'm wearing 3 shirt and one of them are a jacket. And my nice new Nike shoe is so dirty and it spoilt!!! I'm so going to get a new and better shoe.

Third day, today. Lai Ming joins us as daddy treated her to come. Daddy bought her a whole bag of bread and if she wants the bread, she has to join us. So, yes, Lai Ming has to wake up early and join us. Because Lai Ming and uncle Chia and his wife are joining us, we have to take the easier route, the one that we took on the 1^st day. Daddy joins Uncle Tan on the longer route (the one that we took on the 2^nd day.). I wanted to follow but they are too fast, the running up to the entire 4 hill. I don't think I'm that good, so I have to follow mommy and use the shorter route. Today's mountain climbing is like nothing to me. I'm as if walking in the dirty shopping mall where nothing for me to buy. I can even sms while I'm walking. And I have to walk so slow to make sure the others did not lost tract as I'm the one that show them the way. Today is no fun!! I should follow daddy!! Daddy finishes the whole difficult and adventurous and long route at the same time as us, in fact they're faster than us by 10 minutes. Can you now imagine how fast daddy and uncle Tan goes and how slow is my group? After this, we went to States to have breakfast. Yeppie. I have this bad habbits. I have to eat when I'm in a kopi tiam. You can't expect me to just sit there, staring at others while they're happily having their food. Any how, I have to buy more gym pants and shirt. And I need a good pair of running+mountain climbing shoe.

I'll be having exams on the coming week, so I won't be joining them in the morning for mountain climbing anymore but may be after exams. I'm addicted to the fresh air and the trees and the rocks and the adventures there. I'll be back!!!

Dear readers, I would like to share this fun advantures with you guys. So make one day, we shall all go and try it. I think we young people should try more fun stuff. Why can't you finish the whole Gasing Hill adventure when the 60-ish old people can? You can do it.

Things that you nee to bring to climb the Gasing Hill:

• Mp3/Ipod/handphone with music.
  
• Water but leave it in the car because you won't be drinking it.
  
• A good pair of shoe
  
• Your old faded t-shirt and comfy pants. If you do not wants to but proper sports attire.
  
• Power bar just in case you need some energy during the 'not even 3 hours' climb. It is more on walking than climbing actually.
  
• A walking stick if your knee isn't good.
  
• A knee guard if your knee do not have the strength.
  
• A good and healthy heart. If you don't, recommend to goes on the shorter and easier route.

I did not take picture of the Gasing Hill because people will think I'm sakai if I do. Gasing Hill is just so near and small; everyone can just make it to the top, so no point taking pictures. If you wants to know how it does look like, go and feel it and try it yourself.

My next achievement, the Mount Kinabalu!! If only my heart is healthy enough and if I still enjoy mountain climbing when I visit Sabah in the far future.
