Today is my official last day of work at HELP UC.
Mix emotion I have.
If I did not work there, I wont get to know them. The whole bunch of good people.
As my tradition, I gave out candy cane for christmas. This year, I make it a little special with a small notes attached. And this took me one whole night to do it. I slept at 3am last night, or should I say this morning.
Anyway, because of this candy cane and small notes, hand full of them got so touched and show their appreciation in some ways.
One of them, Shankar. We went for a drink after my work. We had great conversation and we got to know each other better. But sad to tell is that I'm leaving so soon.
Another of them, Justin. He wrote a piece of short article about our encounter and I here by attached it.
Days with Nichole Low
Today it is her last day working at the Law Department at HELP. The only girl whom the whole department thinks im flirting with every single moment. This note is specially written to her (on your appreciation, Nichole)
Despite her very short time working at the Law Department as a part-timer, we have met and shared alot in a very short period of time. I am very saddened by her resignation, but as a movie quote in Rice Rhapsody says: "Life first, things second" Nichole will be going off to Australia to further her legal studies there.
I didnt realize she was part of the September 07 intake (the intake after mine), and i recalled on her blog post with me being the first male friend she mentioned. I remembered clearly the Big Gucci shades and the smart-casual attire bringing the group on a campus tour.
I believe the biggest influence of me in her life is confidence. I have always lived a life with confidence, to bring yourself up and be able to stand as a rock in your own arena. In just 2 days I shared my personal life stories about confidence and she had stood up so much for her own confidence! - a special phrase that transformed her to someone that we all could really look up to.
We only went shopping together once, buying accesories and pinching out fashion ideas for her. She has to admit i am the best male shopping buddy ever. Although we know each other in such a short period of time, i alway sremmebred the first time i motivated myself to talk to her - was when I left my tumbler at the counter where she worked at. I asked her " Urm.. I dont think i know your name,...." - and she replied with a smile "My name is Nichole"
Everything developed until we decided to open our own magazine company as partners. She is now the creative director and i am proud and happy to have her because she is one of the most capable persons to work with. Although she will be very far away from where I am now, but my heart will remain to be buddies with her, always.
I received 4 Christmas Candies from her today, with a special personalized note written on a green sheet of paper. 2 for me and 2 for my insignificant one. The note was beautifully written and it really touched my heart. We both really thank you for the gifts.
Finally I would wish Nichole all th ebest when she is away to australia, topped with my blesssings and love. :-) and soon, in time to come, we will be both counsels.

Some, take the fact that they do not receive candy cane so badly. Guess they are hating me sooner or later.
In the department, everyone seems so busy and I completed my work so early that I hang around checking if there are any more work to do. The moment I complete my claim form, Mala and Uma started to miss me already. They miss my working ability I guess. Before I leave, Ms Uma told me I can come back any time with my job waiting for me. But, I believe, the next time I work there, I won't be admin stuff anymore.
And Teck Minn. He is such a great friend that actually have such strong desire for his ultimate goal. And he is also one of them who appreciate my gift so much that he told me he never receive any christmas gift before other than mine. Such poor boy as compared to me, getting christmas presents every christmas from my love one. I sometimes really do salute him for his braveness.
My dear Bro, Kah Jun. He is my very first brother in HELP and also my very first brother who actually took the responsibility as a real big brother. He always wanted to set a good role model for me as a brother. He always made me put down my shield towards the world when he's around. Having to know that he's in a happy relationship now, I'm happy for him too. And he got so disappointed when he knows I'm moving on to Aussie but yet giving me courage and endless support.
My dear friend, Yeelin. She hugged me so tight today and I can sense the sadness in her. She sincerely wish me best of luck and take care.
My bitch buddy, Syateer. He try so hard to make me stay. He even wish to match-make me with a friend of ours. He even lure me with Super Ring and his kitty.
My movie buddy, Shane. He took the trouble to plan a holiday trip to Aussie just to visit me. That's very nice of him.
Despite all the support, good wishes and love I got from everyone, I got a call from IDP today. Victoria University rejected me. And I'm sick waiting for La Trobe. So, once again, I made them disappoint. I can't make it to Aussie. I'm completing my year 2 locally as my back-up plan. But, they should be glad because I'll be transferring to UK for year 3 together with everyone. But to which uni, lets leave this to fate.
This is really not my week. Or I should say month.
But everything happens for a reason. Forgive me for not informing you all bout the change of plan. I really don't know how should I spill the news. It's so bad that I barely want to think about it. To be frank, I am so ready to be part of Aussie. And believe me, I am so disappointed that I barely can talk about it.
Anyhow, thanks for all the support, wishes and love. Shane, you don't have to visit me at Aussie. You can just take a train and meet up with me at UK next year. So sorry everyone for letting you all down. Especially my parents. I seriously felt so bad that it influence my thinking.
