Been a while

Been a rough few months. Birthday was normal. Valentine was crappy. Cny was fattening. And clp is still a headache. Screwed up my health. Screwed up my weight. Been a lazy bone for months.

However, dispite the bumpy journey, I learned a few things along the journey. I am childish immature and emotional. I very bad in verbal discussion. I have difficulties in transferring my point to another. I may think that's the best solution for a certain dispute but it turn out that's the worst solution. Having another encroaching into your path is annoying. But without knowing it, a person will some how encroach into other's path as well. That include me. I am slow in thinking for a defense for my case, by the time I form my defense, I'm suffering emotional break down. I have words that can't pronounce. I am bad in hearing. And also comprehending what I'm listening.

Everyone have flaws. But that form the uniqueness of us human being. To stand out from others, either worsen the flaws to get unnecessary attention, or improve the flaws to make myself a better person. Having flaws is not fatal. What is fatal is knowing your flaws but still live in denial. Acknowledging the flaws but not taking action for it, is as bad as knowing murder is a crime yet he still kill. What makes a crimal a better person is when he acknowledge his mistake, accept his punishment and came out as a changed person. That what make a person precious. That what makes humand different from animals.

I sound like a total confused trouble child. But at least I acknowledge it and making an effort to improve myself. And I still hold on to my own beliefs and dignity. I'm still Nichole but just a better and improved Nichole, soon.

I'm starting to feels that it's fading. After all the expectations and requirements. Is it a curse or what.

To keep the memories, I took a walk down the lane. Slowly. Knowing that it wont be there anymore. But I still have that tiny hope.

Looking back is a taboo. But I do not know what is placed in front of me. I have no clue. And I am terrified. No one knows the future. But some create theirs. And also creating others'.

River of thoughts swirling in my mind. And tears rolled down without knowing. Nothing can makes me smile from my heart. Guess this happened when we grow.

That simple life. That small warm place. That secret area. That freedom when I ride. That wind.

A place filled with memories. But it's getting further.

Its the big day for Aberystwyth's Malaysian students.
Yea, although this post is like kinda late, but adjust yourself back to the 6th March okay.
Everything went well. EXCEPT for the choir part where I dare not to watch myself on stage after I got the MNight DVD.Not that I screwed up, just that, apparently, I 'moved' too much. Eugh...
Whatever it is, its a good night filled with laughter and good food. Minus the part where the plate too small n the curry spilled all over my Saree. Exaggerating. Not really whole Saree. Just one or two splat. Eheheheheh....

Hey readers, sorry for the deadness of my blog. Was really busy. Will resume my blogging when I'm done with my finals. I promise.

As the title shows, I'm going to write bout tolerance today.

Not to self praise, but I really do have very high tolerance level (unless pms-ing). I'm just a normal ordinary girl same as anyone of you out there. I do not have high tolerance when I'm much younger. But how? All thanks to my parents. Living with different people means tolerance. Even with parents. They have very strict house rules. And they have certain practices which certain people may not take it. However, as their daughter, not only do I have to follow the house rule and make them happy, I also need to be really really tolerance towards them. They're my parents afterall. Regardless how much I need to give in, I will still need to give in. They are my only parents and loving them is a must. Not only respect and tolerance, but love them!!!

So, when you all wonder why you seldom see me getting angry and all, now you know why. I'm well trained by my parents!!

Choir Practice

Yes I'm in the choir group for Aberystwyth MNight 2010.

And yes I can sing!! Well, may be not a very good singer but hey, I can sing alright!

The very first practice. Is a total mess.

We're performing 3 songs.

First song, One Malaysia by AMP all stars.

Nice song huh. But when it come to us, we did even better.

We can all sing so well in verse 1 and chorus. And we screw up the tamil and chinese part.

So call chinese and indian people. Well done man. Now I regret not do well in my chinese paper. Not really true. Ehehehehheheh....

Second song, Sejahtera Malaysia, the Malaysia's patriotic song.

Remember listening to this song everyday after TV2 evening news. It kinda annoys me to some point at times. However, this time, I am going to freaking sing it, and it definitely feel different. This is a very high key song. And half of the girls can't sing to the key. AND I CAN FREAKING SING TO THAT KEY!!! Of course the first few try I kinda break the key, until I found a way to sing to that key. WoooHoooo....

Third and the most important song, Negaraku. Malaysia's national anthem.

Well, this song, every Malaysian been singing it for more than a million times. Every Malaysian should know how to sing. However, the very 'patriotic' me, kinda forgot the lyrics. Screwed up the song for the first few times and thankfully no one realize it.

All and all, the practice went well.

Can't wait for the next practice.

They say, law student/lawyer always know how to live their life to the fullest. We study hard and play even harder.

So, after exam, what we're going to do is utter obvious as Aberystwyth is such a small place with such limited recreational activities. Yes, our love nest, why not.

And the night filled with overflowing laughter.

As of me, I laugh even harder as I'm the sober one taking care of all the drunkards.

When a person got drunk, they will turn into a totally different person.

And seeing fellow friends got drunk, start doing all kind of idiotic stuff and talking crap, make me laugh even harder.

I may sound mean but seriously, IT IS funny.

You can see the person who used to dislike you telling you how much he/she likes you.

You can see the person who used to be idiot in dance move dancing dirty dance with random guy/girl in the dance floor.

You can see the person who used to be so happy start crying and being depress over small old history.

The list can go on and on and it'll seems endless.

Really.

However, we all have a policy or something like a policy, whatever happened in the club stays within the club. So, everyone will look normal and back to themselves again the next day. Well, may be some will get hangover but not a word will be spilled regarding the stuff happened in the club.

Exception where people spill the words between those who involved in the night and laugh over their silliness. Or either those who do now know this policy/rule or whatever you name it.

Well, we just know how to have fun and live our life to the fullest. Can't help.

And secretly, fellow drunkards hope that their liver made of plastic so that they can drink even more. :D

Exam, Unicorn and Child Labour

Dear parents and readers,

Due to exam period, I shall stop posting anything here. Hence, London's diary will be pending as well.

Do not believe I'm studying? I HAVE PROOF!!!

Ignore that can of beer and that innocent looking unicorn. It's that unicorn's beer. And that unicorn is not innocent at all.

Truth is, that unicorn is my child labour. That beer is its reward for studying on behalf of me while I doze off in my nice comfy bed.

London Day 2: Walking under the Rain and Snow

Brandon (Sarah's boyfriend), Ramjit and Jessica join us as we start our day around 12noon. However, Ramjit and Jessica decide to sleep in till evening.

We decide to go for Malaysian food in Malaysian Hall at Bayswater instead the one opposite our house. While waiting for the train, we found brilliant and interesting billboard.

And the train takes forever to arrive...

So we start doing all kind of weird stuff like, re-reading the route map...
Focusing on the train instead of me....

And taking photos of more brilliant advert.
After the disappointing (sold out of nasi lemak) but yet happy (had Malaysian food) lunch, Sarah and Brandon went back to rest (Brandon just arrive UK from Malaysia) as the rest of us walk around the Oxford Street. While we're walking, it suddenly rain+snow... HEAVILY!!!

And it annoy the hell out of me. Either snow or rain. Not both!!!

But it ends about an hour or 2 later. As we walk all the way to Leicester Square.

And all the way to China Town for dinner.

Yes, we're having chinese dinner. We had roast duck, char-siew and siew-yok!!! Yumm... It's even yummier than KL's.

After dinner, we're all full and satisfy.

And we join Sarah back home for another episode of Family Guy and Top Gear.

London Day 1: A Hustle Ride to London

What a lovely day waking up in the morning seeing road covered by snow.

Walking from my place to Lai's takes me extra more time as the road is slippery and the scenery is too gorgeous. The quiet street became lively as our cab drives us down to the station with extra care.

As we arrived the train station, they are all there waiting. Not waiting for us, but for Weatherspoon to open for breakfast.

As we enjoying the morning coffee fragrance, the train arrive and we gulp down our breakfast. And off we go to London from our lovely small town, Aberystwyth.

Weekend travel is a very very bad decision. A normal one changes became three changes train to London. Not only that, we got to run with our heavy bags to catch the next train. Although so, we laugh at our silliness and make fun of each other.

After all the hustle traveling, we finally reach our destination, Euston London. As we though that's the end of all the hustling, there we face with another trouble. Oyster card and underground tube.

Done with all the traveling and queuing, we finally reach the place where we call home for the following few days, Farringdon.

It's a quiet small humble housing area in London city. There are puds, bars, restaurant and all the basic shops a town need to survive. However, most of them close by 5pm or on Sunday.

We all so tired to the extend that we do not want to move a finger. So we decide to get to the nearest available restaurant for food and call it a day.

p/s: Opposite of our house is a Malaysian restaurant. 2 minutes walk to Yo! sushi. A bar around the corner. 5 minutes walk to Tesco Express and Weatherspoon. 10 minutes walk to the station. How strategic a place can be huh.

It's a stressful week full of essays and seminars.

In order to reward/release ourselves from all the hard-work we put in for the week, us, the crazy final year law student decide to have a night out.

The Academy, our first stop. Chilling and crapping in this ancient looking building is a perfect start for the night.

The moment we gather everyone, we hit the ever famous Why Not.

For some people, its the perfect night for man/woman hunt.

Down to the west I go. Heading to catch up with buds that I so dearly miss.

In that big city, I walk cluelessly to found out that friends is what I need to guide me through all the exploration.

Although it takes me only a few hours to familiarized the place. This I give the credit to my dad as I inherited his photographic sense of direction.

However, I am warned by Cyril and also laid down the ground rule in order to roam safely in this city of malls.

Aber is such a great place.

Nice place, nice scenery, nice people, nice weather and nice beach!!

But my hostel mates sux!!

They are really enjoying their fresher year, which is a bad thing for us the final year student.

Blasting musics, mid night party, random door banging, on going beer drinking.

Thought of moving away from this place to student village.

But can't.

Student village became drunken party village. Even worst than Penbryn.

Guess it's all the same in all hall.

But I like Kane's apartment!!!

It's seafront apartment with big ass bed room, big ass living room, big ass full length glass window with kick ass seafront scenery.

Everything comes with a cost. It cost him 500 pound every month for this ass kicking apartment.

However, I'm loving Aber. I'm loving Wales.

Totally gorgeous!!!

I saw this article on my cubical wall when I'm doing my internship. So I decide to share it here.....

Take a look at an apple tree. There might be 500 apples on the tree, and each apple may have almost 10 seeds. That's alot of seeds! We might ask, 'why would you need so many seeds to grow just a few more apple trees?'

Nature has something to teach us here. It's telling us: 'not all seeds grow. In life, most seeds never grow. So if you really want to make something happened, you had better try more than once.'

This might mean:

You'll attend 20 interviews to get one job. You'll interview 40 people to find one good employee. You'll talk to 50 people to sell one house, 1 car, 1 vacuum cleaner, 1 insurance policy, or a business idea. And you might meet 100 acquaintances just to find one special friend.

When we understand the 'law of seed', we don't get so disappointed. We stop feeling like victims. We learn how to deal with things that happened to us.

Laws of nature not things to take personally, we just need to understand them - and work with them.

Was chatting with a few friends today, there are many of them happy for my good news. Handful of them wanted to meet up with me before flying off. The moment I fall asleep, I dreamt of me not getting my LLB certificate during the convocation.

I'm freaking worry bout my results.

I seriously think I'm going to fail my Evidence paper as I had mental-blackout during that paper.

When I was driving to BAC, the nearer I get, more part of my body got numb.

My finger, then my arms, then my lips, then my face.

Eventually, whole body.

I moment I saw my result, I am speechless.

Was trying to get evidence into my brain then suddenly a scene came to my mind.

Remembering how Ah Yeow pull this really funny prank in the class last year.

It was his turn to present his research in Constitution and Administration tutorial.

On the white board, he wrote out all his research and no one notice this prank of his. Not even the lecturer, Mr Mark realized it.

His topic were Ouster Clause. Instead, he wrote oyster sauce throughout the whole board of research.

He finishes his presentation and it was time for Mr Mark to evaluate his work, and to correct his mistake then only us copying his work. The moment we actually concentrate and ready to copy, then only we realized its oyster sauce instead of ouster clause.

And then he was summoned to do the correction.

Before he did the amendments, he made a statement.

'This prank actually show how attentive you are when I'm doing my presentation.'

Although we all laugh at his silliness, but we all do know it isn't actually silly prank. It's a wake up call to all us brat to pay more attention to the class.

Remember how I have this annual post on the same day every year, where I lay down/update my desire ideal bf's criteria?

Well, because this year is such a rush, I missed the date. So I'll do it now.

Better be late than never.

Well, I'm kinda lazy to type every single criteria, so I'll just slot in the amended/updated point.

Age: Strike out the min 2 years criteria. As long as older than me and with a mature thinking, don't really care if older than me by only a day.
Height: No more 180cm. As long as taller than me(when I'm in my highest stilettos) by at least one head.
And a tiny add on in light of this point,'And I don't really bother about his ex-s. So what if he has a million of ex and not a 'virgin' anymore. Just don't bigamy will do'. Add on, 'and quit telling me about the ex-s stories as I do not wish to know.'

Yea, that's about it. I lower the criteria this year. Because I'm a year older and wiser!!! Mwahahahhaha....

A month to exam and BAC prepared us a whole hell revision months by having revision classes from 10 to 3 everyday including weekends. Yes, such dedicated college huh.

And what's the consequences of having such a college life?

It stripped off all my social life. An obvious example, people get sick of asking me out for gathering or what sort, and my answer will always a big fat no due to heavy school work.

So lets say, its fine to sacrifice my social life for better future, college life did not only allow me to have a handful of new buddies, it also ripped off my old buddies away from me. Example, a kind of close, or either better to say, used to be, my close friend celebrating 21st Birthday, and I'm not invited because I've been forgotten after long period of not keeping in touch.

Okay, benefit of doubt, friends are endless assets, you will lose some but sooner or later gaining more. College life broke my bridge to the outside world. Due to constant heavy work load, I'm stuck in front of the computer more than books and news. There are a whole collection of books pending on my table but I just couldn't squeeze out my time to finish them. Worst, I slowly lost interest in reading books now, except for Law text book.

Yes, books are pass time activities. Fine. College life brings me bad health. I have no extra hour for my gym. I would rather spend that hour for my short nap to power up my energy level. Without sports and long hours of computers, I suffer headache more often than before.

Health can be heal by vitamin shots. Fine. College life made my closet miserable. Without proper shopping, some of my cloths are faded and a handful of them does not goes well with others. The amount of my heels dying are faster then getting a new ones. My shoe count had deteriorate.

To conclude, college life not the same again as compared to last year's. Last year, I had such carefree college life which I regret so much now. Just another 2 months and I will regain my life. People out there, NICHOLE WILL RISE FROM THE ASHES OF SCHOOL WORKS AND WILL BE BACK!!! BEWARE!!!

As for now, end my 10 minutes potty break and back to my revision.

I can do it!!! I can pass my finals!!! I will go to Aber!!! I will be a smart law scholar!!!

As the time passed, I think back and did a simple calculation.

I've been attending my Law degree in BAC for about 6 months now.

The first few months is a big struggle for me. Different environment, different teaching method, different materials and the biggest difference is people.

The previous college I attended have better environment and admin system as compared, but as to people, I would say BAC has the better ones.

From what I've experienced, BAC people are all humble, including the first class honor couple who are doing their 2nd degree now. People there do not plot against each other. No rivalry. No showing off. They are all very helpful and very willing to share their knowledge. They told me what I should know about this college and the teaching method. They help me fit in. They help me through the tough time. And best of all, they do not have political attitude.

In the previous college, not sure if I ever mentioned, there's this girl in my class, very automatically, both of us don't like each other. We did nothing offensive to each other before. We just don't get along from the very first day. Perhaps we think we're the threat to each other.

However, in BAC, none of this situation occur. Instead, everyone seems so friendly and likable. I made friends super easily there. Even the backbenchers are all friendly, approachable and helpful.

Lecturers in BAC are just like friends to us. We have such close ties that we can talk about everything. They are so approachable that they even gave us their personal email address and mobile number so that we can ask them question anytime. They are all fair and equal. They do not dislike any student. They even smoke cigarette together with the students before and after class, and sometimes during break. Although I don't think this is what a lecturer should do. Those practicing lecturer will always fill us in with the latest interesting case. They discuss their opinion, openly, towards the country's current affair.

The BAC people even think of me when they are dealing some universities confusion with the admin people. They helped me clear my doubt although I never told them my doubt; They include me in the uni's accommodation even without knowing that's my choice. They even called me all the way to Melbourne just to confirm my name so that they could fill in the accommodation preference just in case I missed out by the time I came back. They help me to catch up with my class whenever I absent from class. They are all super hardworking there. They do not get distracted when it is study time. We could discuss an issue and everyone get a chance to speak up and get heard. We share our opinion towards the principle. We help each other with their difficulties in studies. We are never stingy in sharing information or research we got for our assignment. We all get along so well like as if we had know each other for years. This types of friendship development, is my first time experience. Really.

I get the respect a classmate should have there. I get the attention that I've always craving for. I get to battle together with all these BAC people for our final year in KL.

And soon, I will have plenty friends in Aberystwyth since 80% of the BAC people going there. They even want me to be their housemate. This is the first time I did not do the first step of approaching but they did.

With different places, I get to see different people. And different people, I get to understand different behavior. This is what I call Life experience. Something money can't buy.

Incident of the Day:

I eye witness, if I'm not wrong, a case of theft again. I was out to grab myself some lunch. I drive pass this 2 men, one on the motorcycle and the other looking around sneakily while opening the back passenger door of a Kenari. The moment my car drive pass, slowly, due to the condition of the road, they both stop doing what they are doing and staring at my Suzuki 4WD. After I drove pass them, from the rare mirror, I saw the man went in the car, grabbing something underneath the front passenger seat. At first I give no though. But it strike me that usually there's where we people, who think we're smart, kept our bag while we're away from the car. After I bough my lunch, I drove pass the same crime scene again, both men had drove off. Not far from the restaurant, there the two men stood. I have no idea is it me being too sensitive that a crime had been committed or they are just getting something from their vehicle. I am not sure with the whole situation. But, they do look suspicious to me.

I am back home to KL.

BUT!!!

Both parents and LM still in Melbourne. Yes, I have all the freedom I got and all the power.

Wise man said, everything come with a price. Getting all the freedom comes responsibility.

During the day, I need to make sure I collect the mail, do the grocery and prepare my own meal. During the night, I have to securely lock all the doors and windows, off all the lights and be a light sleeper.

I hardly get proper long night sleep as both my dogs barking non-stop, in my room, at the moving tree brunches. When I finally doze off during the dawn, Yuki jump up to my bed, start chewing my stuff and leaving me a whole face of saliva just to wake me up, so that I can bring her down for her breakfast and pee. I only manage to sleep after 6am and forced to climb out of the bed at 10am for class. Poor me. The ever over active Baby, is a nuisance to me. She barked constantly at everything and anything. She scratches me and pulling out the wall paper just to seek some attention.

I got so scared and worried over the pass few days. And finally, today I received a sms from mom saying that they'll be home today. SUCH A RELIEVE!!

I can go back to care free again. Although I will need to sacrifice freedom. But, I am happy with this trade. At least I don't have to worry about locking the door and entertain Baby.

Friday was my last revision class for evidence and also my last class for this semester.

I'll be having a 2 weeks break before class commence again.

Shouldn't I be happy about the holiday?

I'm in a very confuse state of mind.

I'm happy because it is holiday.

This term seems to work the magic in me and give me the happy hormone.

And also I'll be sending my 2 weeks in Melbourne. AGAIN.

But in another hand, I'm depress.

Because it is going to me a hassle holiday.

Why so?

I need to do my Trust assignment during the holiday.

I need to prepare for my evidence's V.I.V.A.

I need to prepare for my exams.

Best of all, I do not have enough time to rest.

I'll be back from Melbourne on the 13th of June while my class commence on the 15th. How tiring is that can you imagine. Further, going to Melbourne means endless crazy shopping, endless road trip, endless visiting and endless activities. So I can only do my assignment or study in the midnight. Which means, endless late night or endless sleepless night. Sigh.

Anyway, its winter in Melbourne, so it'll be cold and fun!!!

The Good:

An old couple found my IC on the floor of a mall and send it back to me. And it happened to be the IC I got snatched few months back.

The Bad:

I eye witnessed a snatch thief incident today. A chinese lady walk passed my car. And seconds later, I heard a scream. Almost immediately a motorcycle speed passed and I saw 2 indian riding that vehicle. LM and I wanted to help but couldn't. First, we're both ladies. Second, we have Dad's laptop with us, which is usually the target of the snatch thief. The only thing I could do is to press on the horn. But it did not make much of aid. The passenger of the car in front came out to help. So are the bystanders. But nothing can be done. The evil speed off too far to be caught. I could have be the victim. Because I stop by the near by cobbler to pick up LK's heels. And the incident just happened 5 minutes after I went in my car.

The Ugly:

I suffer Psychiatric injury due to the incident. It made me recall back the incident few months back. Where I got snatched. I'm trembling throughout the journey home and even after I'm home. And I immediately suffer diarrhea due to witnessing the incident.

Sincerely wish the lady all the luck she needs and may she lost nothing but an old purse without much money.

As for the evil indians, may the bad karma be with you.

Okay, here's the dirt. For the pass few months, two pursuer confessed.

One from Liverpool and one from somewhere near London.

I immediately rejected the Liverpool one. Because of a very personal reason. And upon the rejection, this dude take it very well and we became really good friend. We can talk bout anything and everything, for hours!! And seriously, we had great time chatting with each other. If isn't because of that very personal reason, I might have give him a chance. But too bad lar...

And today, I rejected another one. You ask why I do not reject him immediately? Well, that's because I though of giving him a chance to impress me. Further, I have a little bit of good feelings towards him. And why do I reject him now? Because I find him really really boring. We have nothing in common. His way of pursue me is so not obvious, I will not know he is trying to impress me if isn't because he confessed before. We are such different type of person. Sigh. And the spark isn't there... Guess I just like him as a friend.

I don't know what is his reaction after reading the email. Hopefully we could be friends again, like the Liverpool guy.

Why lar no better pursuer one!!!!

You know how sometimes your room fully filled with sample lotion and stuff?

You know how freebie freaks like me always go for free stuff?

You know how fragrance promotion always come with matching lotion and bath gel?

You know how sometimes promoter induce you to buy something that you don't really need?

That's what happened to me and my lovely toilet.

Mom nagged me almost everyday, asking me to clear up the whole basket-full of stuff.

The basket consist of: several bottles of lotion, several bottles of sun-lotion, a bottle of after sun lotion, several bottle of samples, several bottle of bath gel, several bottle of deodorant, a bottle of body spray, several skin care product, several hair care product, plentiful of facial and body mask, a bottle of hair lotion, nail-remover, hair-remover cream etc.

So, I have to finished all before its expiry date.

After few months of pampering myself with all these products, my skin surprisingly became smoother and fairer; My hair became soft and silky; And my cracked heels heals!!

So, now I'm going to share some beauty tips with you fellow reader.

For cracked heels, use lip balm. Not lip gloss. Better still if its sample or unwanted/finishing lip balm.
For skin, use body-scrub once every 2 weeks. Lotion yourself after every shower. Use sample or free facial mask or expired facial mask(Not peal-off mask) to mask your body once a month or more frequent as you desire.
To prevent terrible BO, use deodorant after every shower.
For bikini line, use hair-removal cream. DON'T SHAVE!!! Shaving caused rough skin and itch. Hair-removal cream is perfect for bikini line as it smoothen your skin and it doesn't itch. BUT ONLY BIKINI LINE OKAY, nothing further than bikini line. Of course legs can la.
For hair, use coconut oil 2 to 3 times a week before shower. Just apply on the end of your dry hair, leave it for 5 minutes while you do some sits-up or push-ups, then wash off the oil with normal shampoo. After shampoo, hair conditional. Then, blow dry your hair. To prevent fuzzy unmanageable baby hair, use serum or hair lotion. Also, use hair mask once a week, on the day that you do not use coconut oil of course.
Face, scrub once or twice a month as you desire. Wash your face ONCE a day only. Don't over torture your face. Use your trusty mask once a week. After washing your face, use toner and moisturizer as you desire. Because some skin can't use tone and some can't use moisturizer. If lets say you've washed your face in the morning but you went out for sports or something and your face felt oily or sweaty, use wet tissue or cleansing facial wipe. Too much of washing will cause dryness. Girls, removing your make-up before bed is very important. One more thing, apply toner then only mask. And if your have facial serum, toner, serum then only mask. As for nature healthy blush like mine, it's the help of bird-nest and chinese herbal soup.

Last Saturday is the Wesak Day.

No idea whats that?

I'm such a nice person, I've googled it for you.

Vesak is an annual holiday observed traditionally by practicing Buddhists in South Asian & South East Asian countries likeNepal, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, Indonesia, Pakistan and India. ^[1] Sometimes informally called "Buddha's birthday," it actually encompasses the birth, enlightenment Nirvana, and passing (Parinirvana) ofGautama Buddha.

I remember, during my year 4 of high school, we need to do this assignment/report about us helping out or doing some community work. So I've seek help from Uncle John and he offer me a volunteer job in the Tibetan lama monastery that he runs/own. That is my first volunteer job and also my first Wesak Day celebration. Of course, I'm there just intend to do the job, take some pictures showing I'm doing the community work, and home to write the report.

However, little did I know, I'm kind of 'attached' to the Wesak Day celebration. I went to the monastery every Wesak day, not for the volunteer job but to read the chanting and shower the buddha and also get some blessing. I'm not those hard-core ones thou. I just find the blessing thing really played well in mentally-confidence-boasting and showering the buddha I take it as a respect to the religion.

However, this year, there's a slight difference. Wesak eve, we (whole family) went to this Thai Buddhism Monastery. There're so many people, so packed, and everyone there seems to be so happy. We did the lighting ritual and the new luck/better luck ritual. And then there's humongous fire works. It's all another different way of celebrating the Wesak Day. Of course, we also did go to the Tibetan Lama monastery the next day morning.

And, from all these prayer and blessing and ritual, I realize, regardless what background you're from, regardless what skin colour you have, regardless your professionalism, regardless your LV bag, regardless your age, regardless your nationality and regardless of any difference, everyone seems to put down their armor and befriend with people in the monastery, treat people with respect and help out others. In normal day life, everyone will put on their sharp armor and be very suspicious of things happened around them as crime rate increased by day. But in this very holly day, none of this suspicious arise and the rate of any imaginable crime or theft or cheating or scam decrease or would it ever happened in the monastery. In fact, people donate to the monastery with open heart, they cook for the monastery and also do all kind of voluntary work in order to get the mercy from the buddha on this day for what one had done throughout the year.

A very meaningful day, don't you think so?

No picture were taken because I'm wholly there for prayer and ritual and blessing, not to do a journal about it. Just that it strike me this morning and I thought of writing about it.

Updates of me.

My study table had piled up with my assignments and course work.
I'm super lazy to do anything.
Figuring a way for me to wake up early and not fall asleep in class.
Trying not to take nap.
Cutting down my consumption of coffee. Which is going to be difficult.
Not consumed snacks (like potato chips and innutritious seasoning food) for about 6 months.
Resume with my gym routine after a week of holiday.
Intend to win another bottle of fragrance for my mom but only realized the competition is closed.
Car break down due to 'water boiled' and got scolding for not able to notice it.
Bought dad a super cheap Toshiba laptop and now my house have 3 laptops 2 desktops which only 3 people using them.
Intend to buy mom a Guess watch as Mothers' day present, but no cash and do not wish to swap card.
Reminding LM, almost every single day, that she owe me money.
Intend to finish the Jane Austen's book-turn-movie movies, but not motivated, due to the high pilling assignment, which I'm too lazy to do.
Rotting at home everyday but plenty of stuff in my pending list.
Lastly, I'M HAPPY!!

Walking down the memory lane, I realise all these years, I do not have a permanent best friend. Yes, no doubt I have plentiful of close friend, but seriously, I do not have a really really close best friend where we'll do anything and everything together.

Kenny once told me that he evaluate all his friends/classmate after every semester to see if there's any 'worth' knowing friends. I hereby doing the same but to see if there's any plausible best friend candidate.

First stop, Kindergarten.

I barely could remember any of my kindergarten schoolmates. All I know is, my first kindergarten is at Puchong, call The Polka Dot Kindergarten. And our uniforms are all polka dots. I finish my last year of kindergarten in another kindergarten located at Petaling Jaya. This very kindergarten provides lunch for us brats. And I love their lunch. Menu includes vegetable congee, shaped biscuit with cold cocoa drinks or sometimes soup. I like their vegetable congee the most. Even now I'm still thinking about that congee and no one, NO ONE can cook as good as the principle's congee. And guess thats the only vegetable congee I don't mind eating.

Number of candidate: Nil.

Second stop, Primary School.

My primary school, I am very proud to say, I am a SRJK (C) Choong Wen student. It's one of the oldest school. It existed even before the forming of Malaysia. Since year 1 till I graduated, I'm still in the same old class, ie, the stupidest class. I believe I mentioned this before, during my year 1, I made friend with this guy and we immediately became really close. We even made people misunderstand us. But good thing never last long. So, there goes a plausible candidate into the pool of failure candidate. As years goes by, I made friend with this really nice girl. We can spend hours and hours talking non stop. But, like I said, good thing never last long. She transfer to another part of KL. Even so, we still keep in contact till sometimes later, we both were too busy and thus another candidate into the pool of failure candidate. During primary school, the pool of classmate's future career is so wide that can be anything and everything. All different background, different personality and different ambition.

Number of candidate: Zero.

Third stop, High School.

High School, the place I call life changing place. Year 1, I am such a badass. I mingle around all the wrong people. Thinking that I am cool. And the results of such life? Sucky results. Year 2, I am so traumatized by my sucky result and decide to turn over a new leaf. I do not really mingle around but manage to made friend with a few of smart people and went tuition with them, for the result's sake. And my result immediately increase dramatically and also the year I met Nicholas. Year 3, I am so freaking sad that with my result, I am allocated to the last class. I mean hell, base on my result, I should be allocated to a better class. In the last class, I manage to found about two to three classmate who are in the same shoe as me. But regardless of being in the last class, I studied even harder to emerge from that sucky class. But, I must say, in that class, I made alot of good friends. Year 3 is where I am being treated as a real friend and the smart one in the class; is where I met Pauline and MunnSing; is where I got the best student of the class award. However, the pool of classmate's future career is still as wide as ever. Year 4 and 5, we were centralized and separated base on our plausible future career. I'm in the sub-art stream where my classmates' future career will be mostly business or art related. And thus a better understanding between fellow classmates. But I was wrong, even when we all have a closer set of mind as compared to the science people, I do not really mingle well with them this is because everyone already had their very one clan. But I did met Alvin, GX, Shing Yi, Leeza and William.

Forth stop, A Levels

Taylor's University College. Where the pool of possible future career drew smaller. Either economics, finance, law or mathematics (which is also economics). Here, I met alot of fine people. The one who gave a real big impact to me are, Jennifer, Roxanne, Elizabeth, Michelle, Cyril, Bee, Shane and Cheah Ying. I had lots of fun and learn so much from them. Needless to say, 18 months passed so fast that I do not even manage to get to know them better.

Number of candidate: 8

Fifth stop, Law Degree year 1

Help University College. Where everyone's passion are the same. Law. I had even more fun here. I became very muhiba. I learned the Indian culture, the Malay's culture and even some African culture. I started to attend parties invitation like Deepavali and Hari Raya. I went Nasi Bryani with fellow classmates and friday date with banana leaf rice. The consequences of such blissful and carefree life, crappy results and re-sit of exams. Nonetheless, I made the most close friend ever. They are, KahJun, Krystle, Justin, Syateer, Nithi, Jamie, Alyaa, Brindha, Kulthum, Naeem, Jamal, Sidaarth and Dya.

Sixth stop, Law Degree year 2

Brickfieds Asia College. Where all the possible year 3 classmates gather. These people, although I do not know them well enough yet, but I can see passion in them. They are all smart and hyper hardworking people. And also down to earth. However, I dedicate my year 2 to studies but not befriend. Hence, till now, the only classmate I talk the most to will be Julia, Kelly, Dhayalini, Bayzel, Lucas and Kiren. I sincerely hope that either one of them could be one of my plausible candidate, but they are yet to be. I do not know them well, yet. Perhaps another year or semester will do the trick.

Reason?

Simple. Reason number one, some of them were at another side of the globe. Reason number two, as time passed, people change and we might not be as close as we used to anymore. Reason three, I couldn't pick any of them. They all have their very own personality. They are all very special and one of its kind. So, I rather have 10 friends than a best friend. They all can satisfy my different needs. They are all equally important to me. And I cherish all of them.
